Pop Culture Connection: Doppelgänger Reads

Have you seen Jordan Peele's new horror venture "Us?" Has the concept of the tethered sparked your interest in more sinister look-a-like tales?

Alan Glynn of Lithub writes this description of what exactly a doppelgängers is, "It is either an alter ego, a duplicated and identical second self, which may be a supernatural presence or a paranoid hallucination; or it is a split personality, a troubled self divided into polar opposites, the dark aspect manifesting as a projection of guilt or conscience or rage." You can read more about the appeal of doppelgängers here.

If you've seen the movie "Us" and want more creepy twins, parallel universe selves, doppelgängers, or alter egos check out these recommendations!
