SCHEDULE

9:30 a.m.-3 p.m.: Welcome Table & Free Comic Book Table
  • In the Lobby, stop at the Welcome Table to receive a free OLPL Fan Fest bag,* pick-up a scavenger hunt sheet and sign-up for the cosplay competitions and outdoor events. Return the scavenger hunt sheet to the Free Comic Book Table for a prize.*
  •  *While supplies last
10 a.m.-3 p.m.: Exhibit Hall, Teen Games, Photobooth & Batmobile
  • Explore all of our vendors in the Exhibit Hall in Basement Meeting Rooms A-C. Complete our vendor map for a chance to win an AMC gift card!
  • Calling all teens: games await you in the Teen Room on the Second Floor!
  • Show off your best superhero pose at our all-day Photobooth in the Computer Center Classroom on the Second Floor.
  • Snap a photo of the Batmobile outside the Library on Cook Ave.
10-11 a.m.: Andertoons: Space Fights! – (Youth) - (Register)
  • Come draw all of your favorite Space Fight characters: Varth Mader! Princess Mia! C3-D2! Do not miss this off-brand space opera cartooning class in the Youth Services Program Room on the First Floor. May the Intestinal Fortitude be with you! Register HERE.
10 a.m.-noon: D&D Miniature Painting & Jedi Training (Register)
  • Drop-in to the Café on the First Floor to paint a tabletop miniature figure while supplies last.
  • Learn the way of the Jedi at Jedi Training by the Second Floor Windows (2 sessions). Register for Session A (10-10:45 am) OR Session B (11-11:45 am)
10 a.m.-1 p.m.: Mobile Escape Rooms (Ages 7+) (Register)
11 a.m.-noon: Space Character Meet & Greet (Youth)
  • No matter if you are a Rebel or with the Empire, these characters want to meet you in the Youth Play Area on the First Floor.
Noon-1 p.m.: Galaxy Jars & Youth (Ages 0-12) Cosplay Contest (Register)
  • Create a galaxy that you can hold in your hands in the Café on the First Floor while supplies last.
  • Dressed to the nines as your favorite character? Sign-up at the Welcome Table to participate in the Youth (Ages 0-12) Cosplay Contest. Participants meet in the Youth Play Area to march through the Exhibit Hall and return to the Youth Play Area for the competition. There will be prizes for first, second and third place. Register HERE
Noon-2 p.m.: Airbrush Tattoos (Ages 4+)
  • Visit the Airbrush Tattoo artists in the Youth Services Program Room on the First Floor and choose from a large assortment of designs and colors. Long-lasting washable body paint can be washed off with soap and water.
1-2 p.m.: Raks Geek Wookiee Bellydancers
  • Watch Wookiee Bellydancing by the Second Floor Windows! Raks Geek is the premiere world fusion dance, circus and fire performance company by geeks for geeks. Raks Geek is based in Chicago, but they’ve made waves nationally and internationally on MSN, The Daily Mail, and WGN-TV through their commitment to blend a high degree of artistic and technical mastery with fun, creativity, and themes from nerd culture.
1-3 p.m.: GameTruck (Ages 7+) (Register)
2-3 p.m.: Adult & Teen (Ages 13+) Cosplay Competition (Register)
  • Dressed to the nines in your favorite character? Sign-up at the Welcome Table to participate in the Adult and Teen (Ages 13+) Cosplay Competition. Participants meet in the Café on the First Floor to march through the Exhibit Hall and gather by the Second Floor Windows for the competition. There will be prizes for first, second and third place. Register HERE
